JORGE HERNANDEZ DE LA GARZA (México 1977)

Jorge Hernández de la Garza graduated from Universidad La Salle de Mexico. He won the Architectonic Composition Award Ing. Alberto J. Pan in 1999. He studied Design at AA The Architectural Association in London, England in 2002. In 2005 Hernandez de la Garza is finalist of the Icons of Design Awards with Los Amates house. In the autumn of 2006 he won the Icons of Design Awards with the project of Vladimir Kaspe Cultural Centre, and also that same year is finalist of the Interior Design Award with the project Showroom Comex. In 2007 Hernandez de la Garza was selected as one of the 44 international firms for the Young Architects Annual Event in Spain. The same year he was part of the 101 Most Exciting New Architects In Wallpaper London. In 2008 The College of Architecture of Mexico City gave him the first mention of Young Architects under 40 years old. In 2011 he won the 2nd place AMDI (Mexican Association of Design) with the Smooth Building. His works have been published in Tokyo, England, Spain, Portugal, Brazil, Korea, Ukraine, Russia, Argentina, Italy, Germany and México.
